Days 3-6
Exploring the Okavango Delta – Botswana
Over four unforgettable days in the Okavango Delta, we’ll explore an ever-changing landscape on horseback. From wide open floodplains and palm islands, to winding waterways, tall grasses, and mopane woodlands, each ride bringing something different. Whether that’s cantering across the plains, weaving through shallow waters, or quietly tracking wildlife through the bush.
Riding through the Delta offers a completely unique way to experience Africa’s wildlife, and without the noise of vehicles, our encounters feel far more intimate and natural, with opportunities to ride alongside giraffe, zebra, antelope, and elephant, while keeping watch for some of the Delta’s more elusive residents. No two days, or rides, are ever the same.
Beyond the saddle, life at camp is equally memorable, with slow afternoons by the pool, sunset mokoro excursions, fishing trips, game drives, bush breakfasts, and evenings under the stars all becoming part of the rhythm of our experience, combining adventure with exceptional comfort for safari at its most immersive, and most unforgettable.

We’ll then be transferred back to the airstrip to catch our flight to Kasane. From there, we drive across the border into Zambia and on to our sanctuary, a breathtaking river lodge situated on the Zambezi, where a sunset cruise, dinner around the fire pit, and plenty of time to relax and unwind awaits.

“The TBA Escapes Kenya trip exceeded all of my expectations, which is hard to believe. This was my second trip with TBA Escapes, so I expected a high level of service and incredible experiences but I was still blown away. Looking back on the trip, I feel like I dreamt it because it was of such an outstanding caliber. Everything from the accommodations, to the staff we encountered was exceptional. Friends keep asking me if my photos are real – the experiences on this itinerary are just that good! I never would have been able to stay at a place like Giraffe Manor on my own, and I am very thankful to have had the opportunity to go with TBA Escapes! I’m already hoping they add more destinations so I can travel with them again.”

“I had the opportunity to go on my 2nd TBA Escapes tour to Kenya and it was incredible! The TBA Escapes team curated a thoughtful, exciting itinerary and didn’t miss a detail. From getting an exclusive experience at Giraffe Manor to a sunrise hot air balloon excursion to the daily safari game drives and staying at the 1920s Cottars Camp, I could not have imagined a more perfect trip. I cannot recommend booking a tour with TBA Escapes enough- they always create an unforgettable experience!”

“Kenya with TBA Escapes was hands down one of the most life-changing trips I’ve ever taken. From the moment I arrived to the final goodbyes, every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure it was the ultimate bucket list experience. The bonds formed with the incredible women on this trip, the unforgettable memories, and the stunning photos are things I will cherish forever. The TBA Escapes team went above and beyond to make every single moment special – whether it was waking up to giraffes outside your window, witnessing cheetahs on the hunt, feeding and caring for baby elephants, or hearing stories from the Maasai warriors about their way of life. Every single day was packed with adventure, connection, and learning, making this so much more than just a trip – it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If Kenya is calling, trust me, TBA Escapes is the only way to answer!”

“TBA Escape’s tour of Kenya was packed to the brim with magical, once-in-a-lifetime experiences that made visiting this country incredibly memorable. From private time with baby elephants, to feeding giraffes, to experiencing the majesty of the Masai Mara on game drives, we had so many interactions with animals. The accommodations and food were nothing short of perfect. I can’t recommend seeing Kenya with TBA Escapes enough. Thank you!”

“As a travel blogger, I frequently take trips all over the world. But all my travels pale in comparison to the tour I went on with TBA Escapes. It was packed with amazing adventures, educational outings, delectable eateries, and outstanding accommodations. And the attention to detail was second-to-none! Every night we’d return to our luxurious rooms with a printed itinerary for the next day (complete with a weather forecast and outfit suggestions!) TBA Escapes curated an experience that let our group experience the very best of our destination. From the wilds to wineries, and everything in-between! But the most impactful takeaway has been the inspiring women I’ve met as a result. The friendships have long outlasted unpacking my bags, and I’m thankful to now be part of a supportive and empowering travel community. It was the experience of a lifetime, and one I’ll never forget!”

“TBA Escapes is INCREDIBLE! I was nervous to travel with a group of women I’d never met before but as soon as I arrived I felt at ease; everyone was so friendly and excited to be on such an incredible adventure that we all connected immediately. I formed lifelong friendships and, as a bonus, have new travel buddies to explore the world with! The TBA Escapes experience was impeccably done, from our beautiful, ultra-luxe lodging, to the delicious meals and snacks, to the absolutely incredible excursions, Kiersten and her team have it all down to a science. Every detail was taken care of; I only had to pack my bags and go…but even that was made easy because they provided us all with packing tips! Nothing was overlooked. I can’t wait to travel with TBA Escapes again soon!”
Eurie C.
“I was nervous about signing up for the TBA Escapes tour because I’ve always planned my own travel itineraries. Giving all that control over to the TBA Escapes ladies was scary – but the best decision! The whole trip was amazing and luxurious, and every little detail was thought of and taken care of (seriously – from labels with our names for our bags and camera gear, snack bags for the road trips, any and all dietary preferences to schedules to get us everywhere on time and before other tourists…!). I cannot recommend TBA Escapes enough based just on this! But throw in that the trips are all to amazing places and that the TBA Escapes crew handpicks a group of fantastic girls that quickly turn from strangers to friends and travel buddies for life – I could not have asked for a better trip or experience.”
Meghan M.
“My TBA Escapes tour was absolutely amazing and definitely met, if not exceeded, my expectations! It’s honestly hard to pick ‘highlights’ as literally every moment, destination, and activity was soo much fun and such an awesome experience. The TBA Escapes team was so friendly and helpful, seriously the best group to tour with! They kept everything and everyone very organized and made sure we were always prepared and knew what to expect along the way. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone, it was honestly a once in a lifetime experience and I had the most amazing time!”
